The Pierians Foundation, Incorporated was founded to further the appreciation of the fine arts through study and scholarship. We are dedicated to the support of talented young artists and to museums and other organizations in the promotion and exhibition of the arts.

As we journey through life, let us be ever mindful of the beauty and majesty of art and what it requires of each of  us.  Perhaps William Somerset Maugham put it best:

 "Art, if it is to be reckoned as one of the great values of life, must teach men humility, tolerance, wisdom, and magnanimity.  The value of art is not beauty,

but right action."
